Can OPHI capital funding be “stacked” with City of Toronto’s Multi-Unit Residential Acquisition (MURA) funding?
Does the acquisition of an existing building need to be vacant or can it have tenants?
MBDC will review proposals with acquisitions of existing tenanted buildings and make assessments on a case-by-case basis. Final approval will be at the discretion of MMAH based on a business case including but not limited to:
- transitional plan
- financial details
- client group
- estimated closing and occupancy dates
- what is rent amount that current tenants paying?
- is it affordable and are the current rents allowable within the program guidelines?
- will they be evicting tenants?
